ROXANNE James (no address given) was yesterday remanded to prison, by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, on an unlawful wounding charge.
Particulars of the indictable offence said the accused, on March 8, unlawfully and maliciously wounded Beverley Charles, so as to cause her actual bodily harm.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, who successfully objected to bail for James said the virtual complainant suffered a wound to the head and is still hospitalised.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Peter Hugh, for the Defence, in his failed application for the prisoner to be granted pre-trial freedom, said the victim will soon be out of hospital.
The case has been transferred to Bartica Court for March 24.
