THE legendary Terrence Alli had the first of two fights against Primo Ramos on December 16, 1982.Alli needed only two rounds to take care of the Mexican in the bout that took place in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The win improved Alli’s record to 13 wins, three losses and one draw.
His second meeting with Ramos happened one decade later and also ended in victory for the quick-fisted Guyanese.
On May 1, 1992 in Herault, France, Alli pounded out a points-decision victory at the end of the eighth round.
Alli ended a stellar 18-year career in 1997. He had boxed 549 rounds, won 52 fights and lost 15.
His two drawn fights came against Thomas Barker in October 1982 and Cornelius Boza Edwards in March 1986. Alli made three unsuccessful bids for world titles.
