This picture was taken mid-afternoon yesterday at the junction of Church and Irving Streets and Vlissengen Road. The unsightly litter from Tuesday’s Mashramani parade paints an ugly picture and one wonders why it was all still there so late in the day. Time was when persons on their way to work on the morning of February 24 would be greeted by a litter-free environment, as the cleaners went to work immediately after the parade had ended and the revellers had gone home.
