THE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, is hoping that nine more contingents will participate in this year’s Mashramani Float Parade. The Minister, Dr. Frank Anthony expressed the hope while touring ‘Mash Camps’ last Saturday, when he announced that 31 companies have already registered to take part.
At a previous press conference, he had said 2010 marks a special milestone – Guyana’s 40th Anniversary as a Republic – and the Ministry hopes to meet a target of 40 floats for the celebration.
Mashramani 2010 is being celebrated under the theme ‘Embracing our Diversity, Celebrating our Heritage’.
