OFFICIALS of the Suddie Funeral Parlour on the Essequibo Coast are calling on residents of Moruca in Region 1 to help identify the body of an Amerindian man that has been lying at the parlour for some six weeks.
Region 2 Chairman Mr Parmanand Persaud, who visited the parlour that is under the control of the Regional Administration, was told by a supervisor that the body of the unidentified Amerindian man has been lying at the parlour for some six weeks and no one has so far come forward to identify the body.
Mr Persaud was also informed that the police at Suddie have been notified about the unidentified body.Reports said the man who is about 42 years old visited the hospital alone and was admitted by doctors.He died some days after and his body was sent to the funeral parlour, so relatives could have uplifted it for burial.
He gave his name at the hospital as Brian Miguel and address as Moruca, Region 1.
