THE People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) administration must be commended for making the resources available for the massive clean-up campaign that is currently taking place at the Le Repentir Cemetery. I drove past the area recently and was impressed with the work being done. One can only hope that the cemetery, which is perhaps one of the largest in the Caribbean, would not revert to its previous state.
I read in the papers that similar works were done in a number of cemeteries in Region Two.
This is a good and timely intervention on the part of the relevant authorities which hopefully would be replicated in cemeteries throughout the country.
