THE unrepresented Robert Khan of Lethem, Region 9, on Thursday appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Fabio Azore to answer a simple larceny charge detailing that between June 11 and 13 at Lethem, he stole from Derrick Tunaram, three cows together valued at $300,000.
The 22-year-old labourer pleaded not guilty to the charge, and Police Prosecutor Michael Grant did not reveal the prosecution’s case to the court, nor did he make any objection to bail.
Khan was placed on $100,000 bail, but will make his next court appearance before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on September 2.
