POLICE have seized six cutlasses and other items during searches as investigations continue into the alleged murder of six-year-old Orlando Jaikarran, whose death has shocked the nation.
According to the Guyana Police Force, further enquiries were conducted on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, during which several items of evidential value were recovered at the location where the alleged murder reportedly occurred at Waterloo Main Canal, West Coast Berbice.
Additionally, police searched a residence at Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice, where the six cutlasses and other items were discovered and seized.
The items have since been lodged as exhibits as investigators continue to gather evidence in the case.
Two males, the child’s 45-year-old father, Bharrat Jaikarran and a man believed to be pujari remains in police custody, assisting with the investigation.
Investigations are ongoing.
