CLOSE to 100 horses are confirmed to run at Sunday’s Showdown of Champions. The stage is set for a thrilling race meet at the Port Mourant Turf Club on Sunday, October 18, 2026.
It was confirmed that the Port Mourant Sprint Stakes will feature Hot N Lucky, Barbara, Order & Progress and Grande Rainha.
The ‘Clash at D Big Yard’ Stakes are expected to feature Here Comes Heidi, Frontline Warrior, Oy Vey, Royale Rocks, Novo Sol and Daring Move.
The feature race is expected to have top horses from Master Z, Jumbo Jet, Jagdeo and Js Racing Stables.
General admission for the race meet is $3000, and 10 exciting races are on the cards.
The juvenile invitational two-year-old race will be in honour of the late Carlton “Blackmouth” Pluck.
The feature race will be the Doodnauth ‘Shook’ Shivmangal Memorial Clash at the Big Yard stakes, where the total purse is $1.6 million.
All of the top horses will be fresh and ready for the first competitive race since the Guyana Cup back in August.
