–$500,000 top prize in One Guyana T10 Tapeball
THE Georgetown/East Coast Demerara (GT/ECD) zone of the Lotto/Let’sBet One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast has received a major financial boost, with local firm Navin and Sons Construction coming on board to sponsor the $500,000 first prize for the upcoming zone champion.
Expressing gratitude for the partnership, Romario Samaroo of the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast commended the company for backing the tournament’s broader ambitions for local sports.
“We are extremely grateful to Navin and Sons Construction for aligning with our vision,” Samaroo said. “Their support is a testament to the community impact of the tournament, and having corporate partners step up in this manner ensures that our local players are recognised and rewarded for their hard work on the field.”
Representing the sponsor, Ganeshram Deokissoon highlighted the tournament’s rapid trajectory and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting regional development.
“As a business operating out of the East Coast of Demerara, we have been thoroughly impressed with the growth and organisation of the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast,” Deokissoon stated. “We wanted to play an active role in driving this momentum forward, and we look forward to continuing our support for sports and youth development across the region.”
Beyond the local silverware, the stakes remain high as the winner of the GT/ECD zone will complete the final four lineup for the national finals, scheduled for October 11 at the Anna Regina National Stadium.
