LAVENDRA Luckiram and Rajiv Latchana took top honours in the Production and Standard divisions respectively when the Guyana National Rifle Association’s (Guyana NRA) Small-bore Section staged its third competition for 2026, the Super September Shoot.
Sponsored by Aquafina Water and Ice Inc., the event was held on September 6 at the Timehri Rifle Ranges. The IPSC Level I competition featured four stages and catered for the Production and Standard divisions, along with a ladies category. Press Release (1)
Competitors faced timed stages and challenging conditions, including intense heat and sand, while navigating the scenarios under the sport’s established rules and safety procedures. Match officials and participants were commended for maintaining a professional approach and observing safety precautions throughout the competition. Press Release (1)
Luckiram won the Production Division, which attracted nine competitors. Gordon Richards placed second, while Jemaine Klass finished third.
Latchana topped the Standard Division, which had five competitors. Daniel Sugrim was second and Jonathon Ferreira placed third. Press Release (1)
The Production Division focuses on relatively standard factory firearms and equal equipment conditions, while the Standard Division allows competitors greater flexibility in modifying their firearms and equipment. Press Release (1)
