TEST players Kevlon Anderson, Kevin Sinclair teamed up with National all-rounder, Junior Sinclair to spearhead Rose Hall Town Namilco Thunderbolt Flour to an empathic 183-run victory over the Berbice Police team in the Berbice Cricket Board / KSM Investment Inc 50-overs tournament to take them into semi-finals.
Playing at the Area H ground in hot conditions, the home team elected to bat and lost Kevin Sinclair (6), off the bowling of off- spinner Rocky Hutson in the first over with the score at 7.
Junior Sinclair and national U-16 player Leon Reddy then added 103 for the second wicket in sixteen overs before Reddy was run out for a well-played 35 with five fours. Sinclair fell for 69 with two sixes and five fours to leave the hosts on 127-3 in the 20th over.
Anderson contributed a classy 74 with four fours and three sixes and was supported by former Guyana player Eon Hooper, who scored an even fifty with one six and five fours as the pair added 60 for the eighth wicket.
National youth player Raffel McKenzie contributed 22 as Rose Hall Town Namilco Thunderbolt Flour ended on 304 all out in fifty overs.
Hutson (3-61) got support from left arm spinner Joel Seitaram (2-46) for the Cops.
Needing to score 305 runs to secure their first ever first division victory over Rose Hall Town, the visitors were given a good opening stand of 53 in eight overs from Vishal Williams and Aldy Grant.
Fourteen-year-old left arm spinner Jayden Grant broke the stand when he trapped Aldy Grant LBW for 23.
Off-spinner Kevin Sinclair then dismissed Ravindra Beharry for a duck as the Lawmen slipped to 55 for 2.
They never recovered as Kevin Sinclair spun webs around the remaining batters; dismissing Williams (33), Simeon Gaffoor (6),
Philserg Wilburg (38), Leroy Williams (3) and Paul James (2) to bowl out Police for 121 in 25.3 overs.
Off-spinner Sinclair ended with 6-31 from 9 overs and received support from fellow off spinner Junior Sinclair with 3-15 in 3.3 overs.
