OLD Fort Top Form and GCC Elite captured the men’s and women’s 5’s Outdoor Hockey League title over the weekend at the Skip’ Roberts Youth Development Complex in South Ruimveldt Gardens.
Old Fort Top Form dominated Saints Men 5-2 to clinch the title.
Simeon Moore opened the floodgates in the 7th minute before goals from
Omar Hopkinson and Yannick Norton saw Old Fort pulling away from Saints.
Moore scored his second before Saints’ Jabari Lovell got into the act to make it 4-1.
Nkosi Saul restored the cushion 5-1 before Lovell scored their final consolation goal as the clash ended 5-2.
Old Fort Top Form also outlasted GCC outlaws in the semi 10-2. Pepsi Hiker, after losing the semis to Saints 6-5, won their third-place contest 8-7 over GCC outlaws.
GCC Elites also continued their incredible form in the final, defeating Saints Women comfortably 6-1.
Abosaide Cadogan was superb with a quadruple, with Rebecca Ferreira scoring a brace.
GCC elites also edged the Women’s Masters side 7-5 in the semis.
Masters Women managed to pick up an important win over Old Fort Inferno in the third-place clash to finish third overall.
In the boys Under 17 category, GCC outlaws narrowly edge Saints boys in a close contest 4-3.
