SKELDON Line Path Secondary School is pleased to welcome FLOW, a Recover Guyana project being implemented in collaboration with the Greater Guyana Initiative and the Ministry of Education.
Recently, a training session and handing-over ceremony was held at the school. The session was informative, engaging and greatly beneficial to our school community, providing valuable knowledge and resources to support successful implementation of the project.
Line Path Secondary School was also pleased to attend the official FLOW handing-over ceremony on September 11, 2026, which marked another important step in advancing environmental awareness, sustainability and practical learning among young people.
Skeldon Line Path Secondary School extended sincere appreciation to Recover Guyana, the Greater Guyana Initiative, and the Ministry of Education for investing in initiatives that provide our learners with meaningful opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills, and environmental consciousness.
The school said that as it continues to embrace the academic theme, “From Resources to Results: Empowering Learners, Elevating Achievements,” it looks forward to putting the resources to meaningful use and ensuring that young learners reap the full benefits of the FLOW project.
FLOW, the National Water Purification and Sustainability Initiative is a flagship project implemented through collaboration between the Greater Guyana Initiative (GGI), Recover Guyana, and the Ministry of Education.
As GGI’s national signature project, it reflects the organisation’s core values and overarching strategic objectives.
The project aims to provide access to purified, cool drinking water for more than 58,000 students across 141 public secondary schools, 10 TVET institutes, and four special-needs schools, ensuring inclusive access for learners in all 10 regions and 11 educational districts of Guyana.
In addition to improving student well-being, the initiative seeks to eliminate approximately 25 million plastic water bottles in schools by 2030, while promoting more sustainable habits.
It also encourages responsible use of resources by incorporating clean-energy solutions aligned with Guyana’s long-term development goals.
FLOW represents a significant national investment in both education and environmental sustainability and aims to create a future where every student in Guyana has access to clean, safe drinking water in a sustainable way.
