Singh, Vieira and Hassan lead Speed Fest classes

DEVESH Singh, Matthew Vieira and David Hassan led the way in their respective classes as the 2026 Speed Fest Track Day produced close competition across the Vitz Cup and motorcycle categories on Sunday last at the South Dakota Circuit.
Singh dominated the Vitz Cup B Class, finishing with 65 points from the three
races. Mikkely Rahaman was second on 43 points, while Shemroy Ramsingh
completed the top three with 38.
In the Vitz Cup A Class, Stefan Jeffrey secured the class lead with 53 points.
Zachary Persaud and Ryan Ramoutar both finished on 40 points, with Persaud
taking second place on the classification. Paul Jiwanram was fourth with 35 points,
followed by Ryan Ramoutar with 22 and Azaad Hassan with 16.
The motorcycle categories also produced strong performances.
Kevin Persaud topped the Open Class Bikes with 65 points, winning two of the
three races and finishing second in the other. Alain Hopkinson was second with 50
points, while Maurice Menezes placed third with 37.
Matthew Vieira matched Persaud’s 65-point total to take the 600cc Bikes class.
Elan Rahaman finished second with 43 points, followed by Jerry Da Silva on 37.
Adrian Mohar recorded 20 points to finish fourth.
In the Street Bikes class, David Hassan was the clear leader with 65 points after
winning all three races. Salim Azeez was second with 50 points, while Elwin
Chase finished third with 37.
Christopher Bridgmohan placed fourth with 26 points, followed by Alestair
Mendonca on 20. Fitzpatrick Augustus and Jerome Jones both finished on 11
points.
The results underline the competitiveness across the classes, with several riders
and drivers separated by only a few points. The three-race format also provided
competitors with opportunities to recover from an early setback and challenge for
overall class honours.
The Speed Fest Track Day formed part of the 2026 racing calendar, with
competitors earning points toward their respective class championships
