TWO males, aged 19 and 17, have been arrested after police reportedly found a suspected air pistol during an operation at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, on Tuesday.

Police in Regional Division #3 said the incident occurred at about 5:30 pm on September 1, 2026, after ranks from the Tuschen Police Station acted on information received and proceeded to Sheriff Street, Tuschen.

Upon arrival, the ranks observed the two males allegedly behaving suspiciously in front of a warehouse.

The men were searched, during which a black-and-silver air pistol was reportedly found on the 17-year-old.

Police also observed a red-and-black motorcycle bearing registration number JCA 4 at the location.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Tuschen Police Station, along with the motorcycle and suspected air pistol.

They remain in police custody as investigations continue.
