Linden Summer Super Cup Football…

THE penultimate set of round robin matches in the Summer Super Cup football championship will take place tonight where unbeaten Group D opponents Botafago and Winners Connection collide for the first spot.

Set for the Bayrock National Stadium, the duo will collide in the feature event of a double header at 21:00hrs where winless teams Blueberry Hill and Fearless will play the opener from 19:00hrs

The clash therefore between Botafago and Winners Connection will be a gripping affair as both teams are assured of a quarterfinal place in this fourteen-team competition.

The final set of matches to conclude the preliminary round play is set for tomorrow night.

The first game from 19.00hrs will see Hi Stars face NetRockers in a Group C match-up after which, Group B teams Topp XX and Capital FC battle it out to the top qualifier.

A win by Topp XX will have them advance as the best team, but a loss to Capital FC will leave the toss up, based on goal difference, which of the two will accompany Capital FC to the knock out round.

Topp XX and Coomacka played to a goalless draw, but Capital FC won via a walkover when Coomacka failed to show in the first game of the tournament.
