CHIEF Executive Officer of GR Builders GY, Mr Rovin Hariram, officially handed over a quantity of cricket uniforms and gear, including hats, jerseys and trousers, to the Guyana Police Force Cricket Club at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary on Friday.
The items were received by Inspector Ameer Mohamed, captain of the Guyana Police Force Headquarters and second-division cricket teams, and Manager of the force’s first-division team, on behalf of Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’ Ravindrauth Budhram, Chairman of the Guyana Police Force Cricket Club.
In brief remarks, Inspector Mohamed expressed sincere appreciation to Hariram and GR Builders GY for their continued support for the development of GPF cricket. He noted that the sponsorship would benefit all three police cricket teams and further boost the confidence, unity and pride of the players as they continue to represent the Guyana Police Force.
Inspector Mohamed also conveyed appreciation on behalf of Deputy Commissioner Budhram, noting that under his leadership, police cricket has grown stronger, more competitive and continues to achieve greater success. He added that the uniforms will be worn with pride, discipline and professionalism, in keeping with the standards of the Guyana Police Force.
Hariram, in his remarks, said GR Builders GY is pleased to continue supporting positive initiatives that promote discipline, unity, teamwork and excellence. He noted that he has followed the progress of police cricket over the years and has been impressed by the work being done under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Budhram, particularly through initiatives such as the Commissioner of Police T20 Cup.
He further stated that GR Builders GY, which also has operations in the United States of America, remains committed to supporting cricket within the Guyana Police Force and the wider development of the sport across Guyana.
The Guyana Police Force Cricket Club expressed gratitude to Hariram and GR Builders GY for their continued partnership and meaningful contribution to the growth and success of Police cricket. (GPF release)
