-local, international gospel ministers lead evening of faith and national unity
FAITH fellowship took centre stage as more than 30,000 worshippers from across Guyana filled the Guyana National Stadium on Monday evening for the One Guyana Worship Experience 2026, creating an atmosphere of praise, hope, and national unity.
Spearheaded by the Government of Guyana as part of the country’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the event brought together internationally acclaimed worship leaders Sinach and Naomi Raine alongside some of Guyana’s leading gospel artistes, including Samuel Medas, Faith Corrica, Joanna Singh, Alonica, Renwick Duesbury, Timothy Roberts and Solid Youth, as well as Trinidad and Tobago’s celebrated gospel minister Positive. The programme also featured giveaways, with attendees receiving the chance to win trips to Kaieteur Falls and the Essequibo Coast.
Delivering the opening remarks, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Susan Rodrigues welcomed the thousands gathered and said the government was honoured to host an evening dedicated to praise and worship.
“On behalf of His Excellency President Ali, the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, we are pleased to be able to host you tonight as we praise and worship God,” she noted.
The minister also expressed gratitude to the many individuals and organisations whose efforts made the event possible, noting that considerable work had gone into ensuring worshippers were comfortable, safe, and able to enjoy the evening’s programme.

Minister Rodrigues paid tribute to the churches and organising committee that collaborated to bring together Christians from across the country. Moreover, she thanked Minister of Public Works Bishop Juan Edghill and the various denominations for their partnership in organising the national gathering.
The minister further extended appreciation to the local and international worship ministers who participated in the programme, adding, “I would like to thank the international teams, the team from Naomi Raine and Sinach, our regional artiste, Positive. Those teams have been tremendously easy to work with. It has been a pleasure working with them and I thank them very much for being here tonight,” she said.
The event proved to be a powerful expression of worship and fellowship with thousands of Guyanese joining performers in songs of praise.
Local gospel ministers energised the crowd alongside internationally renowned worship leaders Naomi Raine and Sinach who delivered moving performances. Families, friends, and believers from different denominations worshipped side by side, creating an atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the One Guyana initiative.
The combination of local talent and internationally recognised ministries highlighted the government’s commitment to showcasing Guyanese gospel music while providing the audience with the opportunity to experience world-class performances.
Closing her remarks, minister Rodrigues encouraged those in attendance to leave the stadium with a renewed sense of purpose and faith, stating, “Tonight we came here for music, we came for fellowship, we came for worship, but I believe that God is calling us for something greater. So, when we leave here tonight, let us answer his call,” she said.
The overwhelming turnout underscored the growing popularity of the One Guyana Worship Experience, which has quickly become one of the country’s premier Christian gatherings, bringing together tens of thousands of Guyanese each year in a celebration of faith, encouragement and national unity.
