LONDON, England, (CMC) – JAMAICAN umpire Jacqueline Williams and Vrinda Rathi have been named as the on-field umpires for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final, which will be played at the famous Lord’s Cricket ground today.
The officiating team for the highly anticipated final between Australia Women and England Women was announced by the ICC on Friday, and also includes Kim Cotton as third umpire, Nimali Perera as the fourth umpire and GS Lakshmi as match referee.
In the ongoing tournament, the 50-year-old Williams was in the middle of the opening clash between England and Sri Lanka and also presided over England’s 40-run semi-final win over South Africa, as well as Australia’s crucial six-wicket victory against India.
Meanwhile, it will be a maiden Women’s T20 World Cup final appearance as an on-field umpire for Rathi.
