YBG Regional Basketball Conference …

TUTORIAL Academy and Berbice High School emerged as the top teams in the Youth Basketball Guyana Region 6 regional conference semifinals on Friday at the Vryman’s Erven Basketball Hard Court.

In the girl’s category, JC Chandisingh went down to Vryman’s Erven 16-14; they were led by Shequeen Collins with 8 points.

In the second semifinals, Tutorial Academy defeated Skeldon Line Path 18 – 02.

Tutorial Academy’s player of the game was Jelicia Myers, who dropped 12 points while Jada Alexander also chipped in with 8 points.

The boys’ semifinals saw Berbice High School edging JC Chandisingh Secondary 28 – 23.

Avion Kesney was superb for the winners with 18 points while on the losing side, Donaldo Henry led with 14 points.

Skeldon Line Path also narrowly got past Berbice Educational Institute 23-20 in the other semis

Skeldon Line’s top scorer was Joel Sukram with 14 points while Daniel Duke had 8 points and 4 steals.

Region 6 regional finals are now set for June 25.

The boys’ finals will feature Berbice High School against Skeldon Line Path while the girls’ will see JC Chandisingh Secondary playing Tutorial Academy.
