A NEW Guyanese-owned firm has launched what is being described as the Caribbean’s first specialised energy pricing, benchmark and valuation advisory, positioning itself to support governments, producers, traders and industrial consumers operating within the oil and gas sector.
Revora Energy, launched by Georgetown Capital Management Inc., will focus on energy pricing analysis, benchmark advisory, physical crude oil marketing support and market intelligence services across crude oil, natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) markets.
According to the company, the advisory was established to address a critical but often overlooked aspect of the energy industry: the systems, benchmarks and pricing methodologies that determine the value of commodities and influence billions of dollars in commercial transactions globally.
Chief Market Strategist, Alex Armogan, said the firm has invested in leading price reporting agencies, benchmark data and specialised research resources to strengthen its advisory capabilities.
“We have selected leading providers with access to real-time satellite imagery, vessel tracking systems and infrastructure monitoring capabilities. This investment is complemented by the development of Revora’s proprietary energy market intelligence framework designed to transform market information into actionable commercial insight for Guyana and the wider region,” Armogan said.
He noted that access to information alone is not enough to provide a competitive advantage in modern energy markets.
“The competitive advantage does not come from access to data alone. It comes from the ability to connect developments across physical markets and financial markets to identify risks, opportunities and potential commercial outcomes,” he added.
The company said a key component of its operations will be physical crude oil marketing and bidding advisory services. These services are intended to support clients throughout the crude oil sales process through market intelligence, bidder analysis, contract negotiations, benchmark assessments and commercial decision-making support.
The launch comes at a time when Guyana’s oil production continues to expand and neighbouring Suriname advances preparations for first oil production, while interest in exploration opportunities across the region continues to grow.
Revora Energy said it intends to position itself to help clients navigate evolving market conditions and capitalise on opportunities emerging within the regional energy sector.
The firm currently has three of its five planned positions filled and is recruiting internationally for the remaining roles, citing the need for specialised experience and familiarity with industry-specific analytical tools and products.
However, the company encouraged individuals interested in energy pricing and market intelligence to monitor its website for future employment opportunities.
According to Revora Energy, the region is entering a transformative phase in its oil and gas development, with natural gas expected to play an increasingly important role in the future energy landscape. The firm said it is strategically positioned to provide commercial and market intelligence support as the industry continues to evolve.
