A MOTORCYCLIST from Moco-Moco Village, Central Rupununi, has been fined after pleading guilty to driving with a breath alcohol level above the legal limit.
Fitz Patrick Raphael appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on Friday, May 29, 2026, where the charge was read to him.
The charge was laid under Section 39(1) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02.
Raphael pleaded guilty and was fined $50,000 or, in default, five weeks’ imprisonment.
