ON Thursday, Beacon FC and Riddim Squad snatch semi-final wins in the Georgetown Football Association knockout football tournament.
Beacon, going up against Eastveldt Football Club, captured a 6-1 victory at the Plaisance community centre ground.
Antwone Vincent scored in the 15th minute to get Beacon FC off the mark before Stayon Murray recorded a double in the 20th and 22nd minutes to make it 3-nil.
Tamiel Hutson then stepped up to register a double of his own in the 25th and 29th minutes, putting them up 5-nil at the break.
Simon Emanuel then eroded some of the good work of his team with an own goal which gave Eastveldt a glimmer of hope.
However, in the dying minutes, Tefon Daly restored the cushion to ensure a 6-1 victory and a place in the finals.
In the other clash of the evening, Riddim Squad clinched a 3-nil win over Vengy.
Dorville Stewart scored the early goal before Kelvin Gordon and Steffon Daniels scored on the brink of halftime to extend the advantage to 3-nil.
The second half saw no further changes to the score as Riddim Squad walked away with a comfortable win.
The final will be played on Saturday at the Plaisance Community Centre ground.
