Dear Editor,
I AM flabbergasted and totally disgusted to learn that the owner of the truck who permitted an unlicensed driver to drive the truck that caused the horrific accident on the Bharrat Jagdeo Demerara River Bridge and caused the death and serious injuries to other users as well as damages to six vehicles on the bridge was granted bail. The owner permitted the use of a faulty truck to an unlicensed driver.
This is a travesty of justice. He is the cause of this national disaster and was treated as if he did not contribute to this disaster. This shows something is wrong with our justice system.
