JC Chandisingh and Berbice top Regionals  

Youth Basketball Guyana hosted their Berbice Regional Tournament at the New Amsterdam basketball courts on Monday.

The opening contest saw Berbice High defeating Skeldon Line Path 39-11.

Berbice were led by Avion Kesney with 10 points with support from Stephan Butchana (7 points) and Jordan Matthais (6 points).

JC Chandisingh then edged Lower Corentyne Secondary 19-3 points thanks to Joel Barry (8 points) and Renaldo Henry chipping in with 7 points.

Berbice action continues on Friday May 16^th at the same venue.

Meanwhile youth basketball action continues with Georgetown Regionals for U-14 while on Saturday, the Linden Regionals for U-16’s will take place.

The competition is sponsored by KFC Guyana, Edward B. Beharry Ltd, G-Boats Inc. and National Sports Commission.
