On Monday, Guyana saw the inauguration of its pioneering science-focused educational institution. This new school, established on the site where the St George’s High School once stood before it was ravaged by fire two years ago, has been rebranded as the St George’s School of Sciences.
During a visit to the school for its orientation, Education Minister Priya Manickchand disclosed that the initial enrolment stands at just 85 students. She also shared that the school will be paired with Queen’s College, one of the premier secondary schools in Guyana (Ministry of Education photos)
