THE Private Sector Commission (PSC) and the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) have announced a strategic travel mission and the upcoming Pure Grenada Expo, set to take place from August 27 to 30, 2024.
According to a press release from the PSC, the initiative, led by Grenada’s Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, aims to strengthen trade, commerce, and tourism ties between Guyana and Grenada.
The Pure Grenada Expo will be held on August 29, 2024, at the Guyana Marriott Hotel from 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs.
This expo is open free of charge to the public. The event will highlight Grenada’s cultural heritage, spices, and tourism offerings, featuring rum and chocolate tastings, cultural displays, and exhibits.
The mission coincides with the launch of a direct flight route between Grenada and Guyana by InterCaribbean Airways, scheduled to start around September 28, 2024. This weekly flight is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two nations.
Komal Singh, Chairman of the PSC, stated: “This collaboration is a significant step in expanding our bilateral trade and cultural exchanges. We look forward to the new opportunities it will bring.”
Local businesses and stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the Expo and strategic discussions during the mission.
