WHEN the curtain came down on the third edition of the Rebel Tennis Club Open Championships, 16-year-old and number four seed Gerald Scotland triumphed in a clash of ‘first-time’ men’s open finalists, winning 6/3, 6/4 against Wayne Baker to claim his first men’s title.

“This win means a lot to me. For the past three years I’ve been playing to win a men’s title. I had to put in the work every day, month after month, day after day.” Disclosed Scotland.
Number one seed Renola Jordan emerged the winner in the lady’s category. The 2022 GBTI winner was back to her old self and she defeated her main rival Paula Kalekeyzi 6/1, 7/6(8).
