LOCAL singing sensation Jumo ‘Rubber Waist’ Primo has done it again – releasing new music – this time, not only to entertain but to educate the nation about the contentious Venezuela-Guyana border controversy.

“Let’s Love” is the title of his calypso 2024 track that was released at 08:30 hrs last Tuesday on all of his social media platforms. It was written by him and produced by Fraser Recordz.

“A lot of people are not really taking it serious so it’s for awareness and also for people to understand it’s a time to put all differences aside and put country first,” Jumo told Buzz this week, adding, “Think about the nation, the future of our children. There is a time for everything – a time for joke and a time for seriousness.”

Jumo wants to achieve a nationwide call for peace, love and unity from all Guyanese through his new release.

“Let’s show the world that we are united and we know when to put our differences aside. I want everyone to share a call for brotherly and sisterly love, whether you like each other or not, because the outcome can affect all of us.”

He expressed that he also wants people to see this as a wakeup call for the nation because at this point, it’s not about party or race; it’s about country.

“And if we can come together now, we can do it all the time and let Guyana be an example to the rest of the world not only because of our resources, but our people’s love for each other living together in this beautiful country.”

“DJs can contact me on my WhatsApp (600-2768) or send their email to my inbox on Facebook so that they can be a part of the call for love and peace because it’s needed,” he added.

Below are the lyrics of the new song:

“Tell Mr Maduro Essequibo is we own
We have no problems with Venezuelans
Please leave Guyana alone,
They coming in by the thousands coming in by de droves.
Guyanese don’t play lackadaisical or we will surely lose our home

So let’s love, and stop de fighting
Come together and start uniting
See everyone as a brother, as a sister, that’s the only way we can overcome.
So let’s love and stop de fighting.
Come together and start uniting
See everyone as brother and your sister, that’s only way we can overcome

Even though it’s nice to be nice in this beautiful paradise, don’t make no mistake and take things for granted.
We must stand up for our rights, whether it’s One Guyana, One People One Destiny, we must all come together and protect our sovereignty.

We don’t want war with our neighbours but we have to be smart, protecting our territories, protect it with all we heart.
We don’t want to resort to violence, let’s resolve this thing peacefully.
Lord, put your hands on Guyana and protect this blessed country

Come together, devise a plan, there must be a way to solve this dispute without bloodshed on we hands.
We don’t want to lose our soldiers, not a blade of grass.
People all over the world crying for peace who want war carry yo as…..s”
