Rose Hall Town won the toss and elected to bat in hot weather in front of a fair-size crowd, and reached 128-7 when their 20 overs expired before bowling out Port Mourant for 70 in 19.5 overs.
The aggressive Vidal Crandon and National U-17 vice-captain Matthew Pottaya added 34 for the first wicket before Pottaya (14) was dismissed by Vinod Samaroo, who also removed Crandon, who struck four boundaries in his 22.

Promising 16-year-old Ramesh Bharat and Jason Sinclair then added a crucial 39 for the sixth wicket before Bharat (19) was caught off Madan Budhram before Sinclair (38) and Keith Simpson (7) guided the home team to their eventual total.
Samaroo took 2-31, while Madan Budhram had 2-10 from four overs for Port Mourant, who started badly when Pestano removed Andy Mohan (2) off the second ball of the innings.
Madan Budhram and Rampersaud Ramnath added 22 for the second wicket before pacer Keon Sinclair had Budhram (8) caught and bowled.
Port Mourant never recovered and were eventually dismissed off the penultimate ball of the last over.
