THE atmosphere at the National Cultural Centre was electrifying on Monday, as students from schools across the Georgetown Education District showed support for their peers who were a part of the Children’s Mashramani Competition 2023, after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a release from the Education Ministry, Principal Chief Education Officer, Emmanuel Bridgewater, in his remarks at the launch expressed satisfaction at being able to host the event. He encouraged the children to have fun and do their best as they display their talents.
Pupils from primary schools across the city dazzled the audience with their brightly coloured costumes and well-choreographed routines as they competed in seven categories.
Mashramani 2023 is being celebrated under the theme: “Mixing and Mashing as One Guyana.”
