AS part of efforts to maintain a clean environment, DeSinco Trading Company Limited on Friday donated a quantity of Beep sanitiser to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal.

Chief Executive Officer of DeSinco, Alicia De Abreu, in a brief comment at the simple ceremony said the donation is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

She noted that the brand Beep manufactures disinfectant spray and hand sanitiser, which are known to kill COVID-19 and other diseases.

In response, Head of Strategic Planning and Communication at the GPHC, Chelauna Providence, thanked the company for its generous donation.

“One of the biggest things for us is infection prevention and control and so receiving such a large donation of sanitiser goes a long way in helping us to manage hospital-acquired infections and it also contributes to the efforts we have in place for managing infections, patient and staff hygiene,” Providence further noted.
