ALLIANCE For Change (AFC) Executive Member Beverley Alert will replace Raphael Trotman as Member of Parliament on the Opposition’s side of the House.
In august, the party had announced that Trotman will be resigning as a Member of Parliament to allow for rotation and space for new leadership training.

At a press briefing on Friday, it was said, however, that Trotman will remain a member of the AFC’s National Executive Council and will continue to provide counsel to the leadership of the AFC on a range of national and regional developments.

Under the A Partnership for National Unity + Alliance For Change administration, Alert served as Head of the Department of Public Information, an Adviser to the Minister of Natural Resources as well as board member of the Guyana National Newspapers Limited.
