Man found dead in dilapidated house

POLICE are investigating the death of Trevor Adams, who was found dead at a Sixth Street, Bartica, Essequibo River residence, hours after complaining of feeling unwell.
The lifeless body of the 34-year-old man was discovered on Monday.

According to a press release from the police, the deceased who was homeless and a habitual drug user would usually stay in a dilapidated house at the said location.
According to the owner of the property, on Monday, about 15:30 hrs, as she was about to leave home, the now deceased man complained of feeling unwell and she advised him to seek medical attention.

When the woman returned at about 18:15 hrs, she observed the man lying motionless under her house.
An alarm was raised, and the police were summoned. The body was examined and no marks of violence were observed.
The man’s body was subsequently taken to the Bartica Regional Hospital to await a post-mortem examination.
