4 new COVID-19 cases, 1 in ICU

The Ministry of Health has reported that there are currently 103 active COVID-19 cases in Guyana, following the addition of four new cases on April 16, 2022.
The four newly confirmed cases were recorded in Region One and Region Four.
Region One (Barima-Waini) has one new case and Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) has three new cases.
The country has now recorded a total of 63,368 cases since March 2020.
Of the active cases, one person is in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the National Infectious Diseases Hospital, Liliendaal; ten are in institutional isolation; 80 are in home isolation, and 12 are in institutional quarantine.
Recovered cases stand at 62,049 while the number of deaths remain at 1,228.
