Beautician charged over alleged offensive Facebook post about Kwasi ‘Ace’

CHIEF Magistrate Ann McLennan, on Wednesday, released beautician, Onika Pompey on $200,000 bail after she denied making an offensive Facebook post about local singer, Kwasi ‘Ace’ Edmondson.

Pompey was arraigned at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that, between October 29, 2021 and November 8, 2021, she made a derogatory post on her Facebook account about Edmondson.

She was released on $200,000 bail and the case was adjourned until April 27, 2022.

The Chief Magistrate ordered Pompey to report to the Gender-based Unit at the Brickdam Police Station every first and last Friday of the month.
