IN the February 13 edition of the Guyana Chronicle, we carried a story titled, ‘IGG Medalist Dexter Presser Joseph to be buried today.

In the first paragraph, it was stated that Mr Joseph was the first to capture a gold medal for Guyana at the Inter-Guiana Games (IGG). We wish to correct this as it was Amanda Lee who received Guyana’s first Gold Medal, handed to her by the then Minister responsible for Sport, Cde Shirley Field Ridley as seen below.
