Dharmic Sabha reaches out to grieving Bonsika families

THE Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha Essequibo Coast Praant has given timely support to two families of Bonsika who suffered recent tragedies.

One of the families lost their home and belongings to fire and the other lost a mother and her child when their home collapsed, a statement from the Sabha said as it extended condolences to the grieving relatives during this difficult time.

The two families who recently suffered from a fire and a home collapsing were given assistance through the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha Essequibo Coast Praant.
The Praant has collaborated with the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security and the business community to support the families.

On Saturday morning, a team visited the Bonsika area in the Essequibo River and handed over the donations to the families. The family of eight which is currently homeless and the surviving second family were given clothing, food and household items.

The donation was presented by the Praant representative Indrawattie Natram, also known as “Reema”. Accompanying the team was Child Care Officer from the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, Bibi Romeena Zaman.

“Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha would like to sincerely thank Bahen Reema for spearheading this exercise of ‘Action thy duty Reward not thy concern’ and also express gratitude to a number of businesses and individuals for their support in this initiative,” the statement from the Sabha said.

The contributors to the worthy cause are New Doctors Clinic, H and J supermarket, Jones Supermarket, I -Tech solution, Savita’s Boutique, Green Variety Store, Shawn mini mart, Arvinda Rooplall, Bharrat Paramand, Vina Devi Dass, Bid Birds and Sons, Elegant Beauty Salon, K and J Persaud Contracting Service and Dularie Persaud.
