Man stabs, bites villager who refuses to fix his motorcycle

STEVE Persaud of Belle Plaine, Wakenaam Island, Region Three, is currently hospitalised at the Suddie Public Hospital nursing stab wounds and bites about the body following an argument with a villager on New Year’s Day.

Persaud, according to reports, was stabbed several times about the body after he refused to fix the cable of a motorcycle belonging to a 32-year- old man.

The incident reportedly occurred around 19:30hrs at Belle Plaine, Wakenaam Island.

Reports say the villager visited Persaud’s home and asked him to fix the throttle cable of the motorcycle and Persaud refused. An argument ensued between the two men and the suspect, who was armed with a knife, stabbed Persaud several times about the body.

Persaud received injuries to his left elbow, the right side of his stomach and the right side thigh. He also received a bite to his thighs during the fight.

Another villager who saw his condition picked him up and took him to the Wakenaam Cottage Hospital and he was later transferred to the Suddie Public Hospital, Region Two.

Persaud’s condition was listed as stable. The suspect is currently in police custody.
