Police destroyed four acres of marijuana plans

RANKS of the Guyana Police Force, on Friday, destroyed $37.6 million worth of marijuana at Fort Nassau Village, Berbice River.

A police report noted that, during the exercise, two makeshift camps and two cannabis fields, covering about four acres of land, were discovered.

The fields consisted of 25,000 cannabis plants ranging from five inches to five feet in height. About three pounds of dried cannabis were also discovered.

The camps, the cannabis plants and dried cannabis were all destroyed by fire.
