THE president and executives of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) extended congratulations to left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie, following his selection as a travelling reserve on the West Indies team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.

The Guyana Jaguars spinner, coming off some peak form with the ball during this year’s Hero CPL, will travel to the UAE as cover for the injured all-rounder Fabian Allen.

The BCB issued their congratulations via release to their young Ancient County player.

“The BCB is very proud of you and we are very confident that you would be an outstanding sports ambassador of our country and county”.

“You truly deserve your selection and we are confident that this would be the start of a long and successful stint at the international level. Congrats are also extended to the management and members of the Albion CCCC on producing another player who has been called for international duties”.

“Berbice cricket is strong when all clubs like Albion continue to invest in youth development. To Mr Walters, Mr Outar and the rest of the Albion CCCC, we extend congratulations. Good Luck Mr Motie and may God bless you. As a cricket board, we are very proud to have two Berbicians in the West Indies travelling team.”
