RABINDRANAUTH Nypaul, 53, called Charlie, of number 72 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, who lived by himself and was known as a “heavy drinker” was found dead in his yard on Monday.

Police said that Nypaul was walking inside his yard when he suddenly felt pain in the stomach, fell on the ground and became motionless.

The body was examined and no marks of violence were seen on it, police said. There was also no sign of foul play. Nyaul was escorted to the Skeldon Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty. They body is now at the Skeldon Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
