A 25-year-old policeman, who was at work, was the victim of a robbery at his Recht-Door-Zee, West Bank Demerara home Sunday last.
The robbers entered his home between 03:30hrs and 20:30hrs, police said while noting that the stolen items include an amplifier valued $50,000; a DVD player valued $12,000; a pair of boots valued $60,000; a quantity of clothing valued $20,000; food items valued $5,000; as well as $50,000 in cash.
Reports indicate that the policeman secured his premises by means provided leaving the articles mentioned above intact in his house and went to work.
About 20:30hrs on Sunday, the policeman returned home and observed that his home was ransacked and, upon checking, he discovered that the items mentioned above were missing.
He also observed that four louvre were removed from a window.
He made a report as investigation continue.
