FOURTEEN-year-old Vladimir Woodroffe, represented the Dorado Speed Swim Club at this year’s Barbados Swimming Association (BSA) International Invitational where he claimed two gold and a silver on day one of the prestigious event.

Vladimir, who is accompanied by his father, Christopher Woodroffe, won the 400m open freestyle and clocked 32.12 seconds to finish second in the 50 metres backstroke.

However, he went on to win the 200m individual medley swim in a time of two minutes 13.54 seconds.

Woodroffe is the lone swimmer from Guyana at the two-day event which includes competitors from St Lucia and host country, Barbados.
