AN Essequibo bus driver of Walton Hall, Essequibo Coast was remanded to prison on a rape charge when he made his first appearance before Magistrate Christal Lambert at the Suddie Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

The man was not required to plead, and was remanded to prison until October 13, 2021.

The charge stated that on Sunday, August 29, he had sexual penetration with a child under the age of 13.
