NINETEEN-year-old Joshua Denny on Thursday morning lost his life after being shot during a robbery which happened a few steps away from his Festival City, North Ruimveldt home.

According to a report from the Guyana Police Force, the victim’s sister reported that shortly after he left home for work, she was told that he was shot. She related that this happened just around 07:20 hrs.

Upon checking, she saw her brother lying on the roadway, bleeding from a wound to his chest. As a result, she rushed him to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where he was undergoing surgery when he succumbed. Police are currently investigating the matter.
