Persaud wins BK International golf competition

VIDESH Persaud registered the best net score to win the BK International medal play golf competition, which was held on Saturday at the Lusignan Golf Club.
The 27 handicapper had scores of 45 and 46 in his front and back nine respectively for a gross score of 89 and a net score of 62.

Former Guyana Open champion Mike Mangal finished second after scoring an eight over par 78 gross. Since his handicap is just six, he finished with a net score of 72.
Mangal, who is known for his short game, also won the nearest to the pin prize.

Third place was won by Maxim Mangra, with a gross score of 88. The 16 handicap golfer also finished with a net score of 72, but lost to Mangal on a countback.
