Government presents cricket gear to 13 sports clubs in Region Two

THIRTEEN sports clubs received cricket gear on Saturday during the President Irfaan Ali-led two-day Cabinet Outreach to Pomeroon-Supenaam (Region Two).

The gear were presented upon the request of the clubs and will be used to bolster their efforts on the field once cricket re-starts.

During a presentation at the 8th of May Secondary School, in Dartmouth Village, Dartmouth Sports Club representative, Jason George, said that the equipment would be put to good use.

“We are grateful for this donation and we will put it to good use and try to care it, so that it could last as long as possible. One of our challenges is that whenever we have competitions it’s difficult to find gear, so this will help us greatly”.

The clubs that benefitted were the Charity Sports Club, Jacklow Sports Club, Siriki Sports Club, Karawab Sports Club, Charity Amazon Sports Club, the Charity Under-15 Sports Club, Cotton Field Sports Club, Dartmouth Sports Club, Affiance Sports Club, Lima Sands Sports Club, Young Achievers Sports Club, Richmond Sports Club and Walton Hall Sports Club.
