BCB eyeing October for possible season restart

THE Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) is calling on their 1st Division clubs to start preparing for the possible restart to the 2021 season which is set for October.

After identifying September as their possible restart period, the BCB recently adjusted their plans with next month being the time for some action.

Among the clubs which are set to be involved this season are West Berbice, Blairmont, Police, Tucber Park, Rose Hall Canje, Young Warriors, Albion, Port Mourant, RHTYSC, Skeldon and Upper Corentyne. They are expected to play at least two tournaments before the end of 2021.

The BCB also earmarked December as the month for their elections, as such, tournaments will have to be completed this year and are to be played on a knockout basis.

Furthermore, BCB president, Hilbert Foster, recently held discussions with Mr. Troy Cadogan , Managing Director of Ansa McAl, regarding the upcoming tournament and an announcement would be made shortly.
